Description
Antracol is a fungicide that contains the active ingredient propineb. It is used to control a wide range of diseases in crops such as rice, grapes, potatoes, and vegetables. Propineb works by interfering with the metabolism of fungi and has a multi-site mode of action, which helps prevent the development of resistance in the fungi. Antracol is applied at a rate of 0.75 to 1.25 grams per liter of water or 1.5 to 2.5 kilograms per acre. It is known for its fine particle size and good suspension in water, as well as its rainfastness and low toxicity, which make it suitable for use in integrated pest management (IPM) programs. Antracol is effective against diseases such as scab in apples, leaf and fruit spots in pomegranates, early and late blight in potatoes, die back in chilli, and buck eye rot in tomatoes, among others.
