Description
Alanto Insecticide is an insecticide containing the active ingredient thiacloprid. It is used to control a range of pests, including aphids, jassids, thrips, whiteflies, stem borers, and mosquito bugs. Thiacloprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide that acts as an acute contact and stomach poison and has systemic and translaminar activity with a residual effect. It is stable in the presence of rain and sunlight and has a low acute mammalian toxicity. Alanto Insecticide can be used on a range of crops, including cotton, paddy, chilli, apple, tea, brinjal, and soybean. It acts by antagonizing the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the central nervous system of insects, disrupting their nervous system and leading to their death. It is classified by the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee as No. 4A and should be applied at a rate of 2 milliliters per liter of water.
