Actara Insecticide is a product manufactured by Syngenta that is used to control various types of foliar and soil pests in many crops. The active ingredient in Actara Insecticide is Thiamethoxam, which is present at a concentration of 25% in the form of a water-dispersible granule (WG).

Actara Insecticide is a second-generation neonicotinoid, which is known for its fast elimination of sucking and chewing pests, stopping damage to crops before it starts. It quickly penetrates the leaf’s surface and eliminates pests within 24 hours while also providing residual control. It can be used in a variety of application types such as soil applications, seed treatments, and foliar sprays.

It can be used on a range of crops like Vegetables, Rice, Coffee, Cotton. The target pests for these crops are Aphids, Ash weevil, Black Aphids, Brown Plant Leafhopper, Bugs, Cardamom Aphid, Chilli Thrips, Fruit Rust Thrips, Grape Thrips, Hispa, Jassids, Mango Hoppers, Marginal Gall Thrips, Pod Fly, Rice Hispa, Rhizome Weevil, Spiraling Whitefly, Sugarcane Wolly Aphid, Whiteflies, Whitetail mealybug, Mealybugs, Anar Butterfly.

The recommended dosage of Actara Insecticide is 0.5 gm/liter of water or 100 gm in 200 liters of water per acre. This means that for every liter of water used for spraying, 0.5 gm of Actara Insecticide should be added, or for every acre of crops, 100 gm of Actara Insecticide should be dissolved in 200 liters of water and applied.
