Technical content
Paclobutrazol 23% SC
DOSAGE – 8-16 ml/tree
Description
Cultar is a growth regulator manufactured by Syngenta that contains the active ingredient paclobutrazol. Paclobutrazol is a phytoregulator, which acts by inhibiting the synthesis of gibberellins, resulting in a reduction of vegetative growth.
When used in the cultivation of mango, Cultar can promote and stimulate flowering while also promoting a balanced foliage and reducing the need for pruning. Additionally, the use of Cultar can improve fruit quality, including color, size, maturation, and yield.
Cultar is efficiently absorbed by the roots and transported to the vegetative growth parts through the xylem.
It is recommended for use on mango crops, and the dosage for application depends on the age of the tree. For trees less than 10 years old, 8ml per tree should be dissolved in water and applied to the root zone. For trees more than 10 years old, 16ml per tree should be dissolved in water and applied to the root zone. It should be applied three months before flowering and after applying two irrigation may be required and one should also take care that at least one moth before the irrigation should not be given.
