Description

Iglare is a brand name for a fungicide called Thifluzamide 24% SC. It is a specialty and advanced fungicide specifically designed to effectively control sheath blight, a common fungal disease in crops like rice. This fungicide offers long-duration control of sheath blight and exhibits both prophylactic (preventive) and curative (remedial) action.

The active ingredient in Iglare, Thifluzamide, belongs to a class of chemicals known as Thiazole Carboxymides. It works by inhibiting the Succinate dehydrogenase enzyme (SDH) within the tricarboxylic acid cycle of fungi. This mode of action disrupts the fungal metabolism, preventing its growth and development. One of the key advantages of Iglare is its systemic nature, allowing it to move acropetally (upwards) and basipetally (downwards) within the plant system.

When applied to rice crops, Iglare offers several benefits. It enhances the vigor of the rice plants, leading to healthier and greener foliage. It also increases the strength, density, and number of tillers (side shoots) per hill, promoting better plant growth and productivity. Moreover, Iglare contributes to the development of high-quality panicles with an increased number of grains per panicle. The resulting produce exhibits shining and bold grains, indicating improved grain quality.

Iglare is generally compatible with commonly used pesticides, except those containing alkaline compounds. This compatibility allows for convenient integration of Iglare into existing crop protection programs. Additionally, the fungicide has been tested for phytotoxicity and has shown no adverse effects when used at the recommended dosage.

It is important to note that the use of Iglare falls under the responsibility of the user, and the manufacturer does not assume any liability beyond ensuring the uniform quality of the product. Therefore, proper application techniques and adherence to label recommendations are essential for achieving desired results and avoiding any potential risks.

As for label claim recommendations, Iglare can be used for various crops and diseases. For paddy (rice) crops affected by sheath blight, a recommended dosage of 375 ml per hectare should be mixed with 500 liters of water. For tomato crops suffering from early blight, a dosage of 500 ml per hectare is advised, along with 500 liters of water. In the case of potatoes, Iglare can be used as a seed treatment for controlling black scurf, with a recommended dosage of 2.5 ml per 10 kg of potato tuber.

In summary, Iglare is an advanced fungicide formulated to combat sheath blight effectively. Its unique mode of action, systemic movement within plants, and compatibility with other pesticides make it a valuable tool for disease management in crops like rice, tomatoes, and potatoes. When used as directed, Iglare contributes to the overall health, yield, and quality of agricultural produce.
